Obituary

Robert Womack, age 82, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away on March 23, 2023, at Willard Walker Hospice Home, Fayetteville, Arkansas. When Rob's mother was 81/2 months pregnant, they were living in Jackson Ms., his father drove her to Dallas so that Robert would be born a 3rd generation Texan (plus he didn't want him to be born in Mississippi.) When Rob was 9 they moved to Oklahoma City. He graduated from NW Classen High School in 1959! He loved to tell stories about his summer oil field jobs in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.
After 4 semesters he was asked not to come back to University of Oklahoma! It seems most of his time was playing Bourre bridge, other activities and not going to class. His studies continued at Northeastern State University, Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
Marriage to Cecily and the birth of his son Greg ended his Party Days!
He went on to graduate with Honors at the University of Arkansas in Banking and Finance. Upon graduation he went to work for International Harvester out of Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 1969 he married Sandi Lawrence and they moved to Springdale for Tyson Foods as credit manager. Eventually thru many positions with Tyson, he was the President of their Seafood Division in Seattle! Always a part time stock trader, fossil collector and world traveler he never stopped learning and having a good time!! His backpack was always packed!!

He leaves his wife Sandra of 53 years; sons Greg Hawkins (Angela), of Richardson Texas,), Springdale; Courtney (Steve), Los Angeles California; daughter Catherine Womack, Fayetteville; one sister, Carolyn Stuart (John) and children.

Grandchildren; Sydney Hawkins, Dallas, Haylee Matthews, Bloomington In. Jacob Womack, Garrett Womack, Luke Womack, Murphy Beck, Charlie Jane Hawkins, Brady Beck and his dog Hattie.
