Obituary

Robert James Adair, 64, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away on August 8, 2026.

Born on August 18, 1961, to Robin Adair and Norma Adair, Robert was a loving son, father, brother, and friend.

Robert spent his life in the Fayetteville community, where he was known by many as a fantastic auto mechanic. He loved working on vehicles and took great pride in his craft. With his sharp skills, determination, and willingness to help others, Robert saved the day for countless drivers who depended on him to keep them safely on the road. This was his happy place, and he was at his best when he was doing the work he loved.

Robert was not always the best version of himself, but his love for his family never wavered. He was always overjoyed by a visit, a phone call, or the chance to spend time with those he loved. Despite life's challenges, family remained close to his heart, and he cherished every opportunity to reconnect and share time with them.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robin Adair.

He is survived by his mother, Norma Adair of Springdale, Arkansas; his son, James Adair of Natchez, Mississippi, and his three children; his daughter, Jennifer Adair of Ridgecrest, Louisiana, and her two children; his daughter, Amber Adair of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and her three children; his daughter, Kat Ross of Tacoma, Washington; and his daughter, Ashley Rawls of Austin, Texas, and her two children. He is also survived by his brother, Alan Adair of Winslow, Arkansas; his sisters, Lyn Adair of Springdale, Arkansas, Teri Adair of Springdale, Arkansas, and Toshia Andrews of Goshen, Arkansas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.

Though his passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew and loved him, Robert's memory will live on through the many lives he touched, the friendships he built, and the family he cherished.

A memorial service celebrating Robert's life will be held at a later date. Family and friendsare invited to attend and share their memories of Robert.
