Leo
Shipman
Nov 29, 1951 — Jul 25, 2024
Leo Shipman Jr., 73, of Rogers, Arkansas, peacefully passed away surrounded by his adoring family on July 25, 2024 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas. Born on November 29, 1951 in Mundelein, Illinois to Shirley and Leo Shipman Sr., Leo Shipman, who shared a cherished 53-year marriage with his beloved wife Debbie. Alongside his wife, Leo is survived by his daughter Michelle and her husband Clinton. Leo's heart was filled with joy and pride by his three granddaughters: Burgandy, Ebony, and Indigo, as well as his two grandsons, Shadow and Forest. Among Leo's precious grandchildren, his two eldest granddaughters brought him the gift of eight great-grandchildren: Lenox, Canon, Ivy, Atticus, Jasper, Beau, Luke, and the anticipation of another little bundle of joy, Zellie. Leo's grandchildren were the shining light in his life. Their presence brought him immense happiness and created countless cherished memories. They were a constant source of love and joy, and Leo treasured every moment. Leo Shipman, a mischievous and playful grandpa, had a knack for keeping everyone on their toes. He would often don masks and costumes just to sneak up on his grandkids and give them a good scare. Known for his candid nature and his willingness to speak his mind, Leo Shipman never shied away from expressing his thoughts and opinions. Leo loved to tinker in the garage, while listening to classic rock. It was his sanctuary, where he would spend hours. His tomato plants and yard flourished under his care. Before retirement, Leo found success as a brick mason in the Northwest AR. His dedication and skill in his work were evident in everything he helped build. Leo took pride in his craftsmanship and left a lasting impact on the community through his contributions. While Leo's absence leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, his memory will continue to live on through the love and laughter he shared with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered as a loving husband, a caring father, a doting grandfather, and a proud great grandfather.
