Billy Joe Willis, 67 years old of Fayetteville, AR, passed on October 23, 2020 in Bentonville, AR. He was born on July 24, 1953 in Grenada County, MS to the late Roosevelt and Maggie "Mag" Conley Willis. Billy relocated along with his family to Fayetteville, AR when he was a young child. He was baptized at an early age at Combs Street Church of Christ in Fayetteville, AR. He attended Fayetteville Public Schools where he left his mark on the athletic program as one of the star football players.
Billy served for many years as the Personal Care Attendant for Tommy Heflin. He also worked in other capacities, such as a barber in a shop on Historic Dickson Street, a Cook for Wes BBQ, Chef for the Clarion, and a skillful fence builder. He most recently resided in Mayflower, AR, until he expressed a desire to return home to Northwest Arkansas following a serious car accident in January 2020. Billy spent his final months at Springdale Health & Rehabilitation Center and his final days receiving hospice care at the Circle of Life Hospice Home in Bentonville, Arkansas.
Billy is survived by two daughters, Leisha Willis and Sarah Willis, both of Fayetteville, AR; his three siblings, Connie Willis of Olive Branch, MS, Gladys (Michael) Bobo of Little Rock, AR, Sherry Willis of Maumelle, AR; and three Grandchildren, Traeven Willis, Christopher Malone and Cason Malone. He is preceded in death by one brother, Roosevelt "Junior" Willis Jr. and one nephew, Corey Willis.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Cremations Only, LLC in Springdale, Arkansas.
