Annetta Duncan, age 85, passed away peacefully in her sleep in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on October 12, 2023.
She was the daughter of Conley and Inez (Crews) Mason, born on May 25, 1938, in Velvet Ridge, Arkansas. After graduating from Bald Knob High School, Annetta attended Harding College for one semester while also beginning her banking career at First Security Bank in Searcy, AR. She married James Paul (Jimmy) Duncan in 1956 and they had three children.
Most of Annetta's banking career was at Clinton State Bank in Clinton, AR, and she continued in banking at Memphis Area Teacher's Credit Union in Memphis, TN. She also earned a degree in interior design from LaSalle Extension University.
Annetta loved gardening and had an eye for interior decorating. She was a proud member of the Church of Christ in Lincoln, Arkansas. She also loved the Choctaw Church of Christ in Choctaw, Arkansas.
Survivors include her three sons, Michael Thornton Duncan and his wife Donna Duncan from Pell City, Alabama, Jon Lance Duncan from Bentonville, Arkansas, and Timothy Dee Duncan from Farmington, Arkansas. Annetta was so proud of her three grandchildren, Matthew, Mitchell, and Molly Duncan, and one great grandchild Dallan Duncan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy.
A memorial will be held privately by the family.
